This really is an idealistic location just a few metres from the village centre where you will find many shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The village swimming pool is only 600 metres away, a short gentle stroll. Airports nearby are Salzburg 90kms and 1 hour 15 mins, Munich 200kms and 2 1/2 hours. It is also possible to fly to Innsbruck which is approx 90 mins away.

Our chalet is located in a beautiful traditional Austrian village, yet it offers all the amenities that you could desire for your stay. Winter or summer, there is something for everyone

In winter enjoy the first class skiing location and friendly après ski. In spring and summer enjoy the numerous outdoor activities such as mountain biking and hill walking.

Whether you come for the skiing or the ambience and relaxing break, our chalet has something for everyone. Close to the slightly more commercial Zell am See, our ski area makes up the Europa Sports Region offering 3 ski areas with over 130kms (81 miles) of piste!

Zell am See Piste map

The Kitzsteinhorn glacier offers a much wider range of piste including powder, but this is still ideal for beginners. It is serviced by a wonderful gondola and lift combination and the views are stunning.

Zell am See's 75km (47 miles) of trails make up around three fifths of the Europa Sport Region and are largely located on the Schmittenhöhe mountain behind the town.

More than 50km (31 miles) of the terrain is graded red and blue, including an 8km (5 miles) trail, the Schutt, descending the full 1200 metre vertical back down to the resort.

Advanced skiers have several long medium-steep blacks descending through the forest back down to the resort to enjoy, several usually mogulled, and Zell has a reputation for good off-piste powder when conditions are right. Zell am See's sunny slopes do have good snow-making cover on nearly two thirds of the piste. This is our favourite ski area with beautiful tree lined skiing.

Cross country skiers have up to 200km (125 miles) of trails around the valley, including a 10km (6 miles) track on frozen Lake Zell, a 6km illuminated track at Kaprun and a 3km high altitude trail on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier at 2,900 metres.

There are many excursions, activities and sports in the area all year round highlighted on our visit our information page.
